My name is Leticia, i'm 23 years old and live in Brazil, São Paulo, i would describe myself as active, creative, open-minded, polite, positive, sociable, efficient, family-Oriented, independent and responsible. I decided to became an aupair because in high school i had a colleague who was an Au Pair and it became a dream since then. And also i want to improve my English and meet new cultures. A family should choose me as their au pair because I bring a wealth of experience and a genuine passion for working with children. I have had profound experiences in early childhood education, including interacting with children with special needs and various learning styles. I've had the privilege of learning from seasoned educators in both public and private settings, which has enriched my understanding of effective teaching methods. I've also taught Jiu-Jitsu to children, which not only allowed me to impart important life skills but also fostered a sense of discipline and respect. Additionally, I have a year's worth of experience teaching English to a young class, further strengthening my ability to connect with and educate children. What truly sets me apart is my deep affection for children. I find their honesty and curiosity to be inspiring, and I'm dedicated to providing them with a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment. I believe that my diverse background in education and my genuine love for being in the presence of children make me an excellent aupair.

Esperienze

During the period from October 18, 2023, to early February 2024, I had the experience of taking care of my nieces and nephew while assisting my aunt Daiane. Maria Eduarda, 14 years old, Arthur, 12 years old, and the youngest, Rebecca, who is 4 months old. I handled diaper changes, bath time, and bedtime routines for Rebecca. When not attending to the infant, I assisted with the older ones by preparing meals, playing, helping with homework, and contributing to household chores.

I had the privilege of assisting teacher Ana in the preschool class at São João Gualberto School, where I worked with a group of 13 to 14 students aged 2 to 4 years. This diverse class included children with special needs, and my role was to provide support in various aspects of their daily routine. My responsibilities included helping to organize the children's backpacks, changing diapers for the younger kids, preparing snacks in the afternoon, assisting with lessons during class time, engaging in educational book readings, and following the daily routine. I actively participated in activities involving playdough, art projects like drawing and collage, and supporting early writing skills. In addition to these tasks, I contributed to supervising the children during their outings to the park. The experience was incredibly rewarding, and I genuinely enjoyed the opportunity to work with these young learners and support their development. It was a fulfilling experience that strengthened my passion for working with children, especially those with diverse needs, and I am grateful for the chance to be a part of their educational journey.

During the period from January 2022 to December 2022, I had the rewarding experience of caring for four young children, aged 5, 6, 7, and 8. I worked with them as their teacher every Saturday, conducting two-hour classes with a primary focus on introducing and developing their English language skills. Since some of the children were not yet literate, my approach was designed to be engaging, interactive, and suitable for their age group. To make the learning process enjoyable and effective, I employed a variety of teaching methods and activities. We used music and songs with catchy tunes to help the children familiarize themselves with the language. We sang songs related to colors, animals, and basic phrases. This not only made learning fun but also improved their pronunciation and vocabulary. Visual aids such as colorful flashcards, pictures, and charts played a significant role in our classes. Visuals helped the children associate English words with images, making the learning process more intuitive. Engaging games like memory cards with English words and basic puzzles were part of our routine. These activities were not only fun but also promoted cognitive development and reinforced English vocabulary. During our 15-minute snack break, we continued practicing English through conversation. We discussed the snacks they brought, their favorite colors, or animals, creating an immersive English environment. Art activities, such as coloring and simple crafts, helped the children express themselves creatively in English. We worked on projects like making animal masks or creating colorful shapes, combining learning with creativity.
