Hello! My name is Danielle, and I am 24 years old. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Musical Theatre from Ouachita Baptist University, and I am from America. I love singing, dancing, acting, pretty much performing of any sort, but most of all, I love all things Disney. I spent the last year working in attractions and food in Walt Disney World where I learned a lot, but I wanted something more.

I have been wanting to move to Europe for years because I wanted to experience the culture, so when my best friend got a performance contract with Disneyland Paris that seemed like the perfect excuse to move, and here I am! I want to be an au pair and nanny for two reasons: because I love working and being with children, and because I need a job. I have worked with children a great deal throughout my life, and I have always been very fulfilled doing so, even if it was simply looking after my younger sister for a few hours while my parents were out when I was a teenager. That said, I have moved here to Paris with my best friend in order to support her and to fulfill my dream of moving to Europe, but now that I am here, I desperately need a job. It has been difficult for me to find a job here since my knowledge of the French language is extremely elementary. I figure that as an au pair I would have a chance to get a deeper understanding of the French language and culture. I feel it is only fair to let you know that I would like to remain roommates with my best friend, so I would be happy to find my own housing nearby and share that with her, but if you would like me in your home full time, I would request that she be allowed to stay with me. We are comfortable sharing any size space, and she would be happy to pay rent at your request.

I believe that I qualify for this position for a multitude of reasons. My very first job was nannying for a family friend who had a 9 month old baby. Since then, I have worked in many different childcare settings including my church nursery, a dance studio, babysitting both in and out of the home, and children’s entertainment. In my time working in the church nursery, I learned to gently care for young babies while maintaining their hygiene and creating a peaceful environment for them until their parents returned. In my time as a dance teacher, I was able to embrace my natural goofiness while learning to lead large groups of children ages 4-13 in an enthusiastic, efficient, and kind manner. I adored that job because I was able to have a personal relationship with each student and feel like I had a genuine impact on each of their lives. In my time as a babysitter, I have learned so much, but my personal favorite experience was when I was the temporary nanny for a family who was visiting Disney World. I was able to take that week off from my job in attractions at that time, and I spent the week with a family with three children (ages 10 years, 5 years, and 6 months) where my job was to watch the children while their parents did rides, to take the children on age appropriate rides, and to plan the family’s vacation for them. I had so much fun that week, and so did the children. It was so wonderful to create such a special bond with them. That said, I know that I would excel at taking your children to Disneyland or any other public setting if needed. In my time as a children’s entertainer, I was responsible for performing for groups of 2-100 children from ages 0-12. Oftentimes, I would be hired for a birthday party as an entertainer and once I arrived at the venue I would find that the children were not being properly supervised. I would do my job and entertain the entire group of course, but I would also take on the role of supervisor, doing everything in my power to ensure the children’s safety and wellbeing as well as their happiness.

All that to say, I have experience spending time with children while maintaining their hygiene when needed and their safety at all times. I prefer working with children in small groups, but am capable of leading large groups of children when needed. I am a very lively person, and would have no trouble keeping your children happy and entertained, but I would also make sure that they felt safe and loved whenever they were with me. I would be honored for you to trust me with your children, and I promise you that I will do the very best that I can to take care of them in the most warm-hearted way possible.
