In my last role as an Au Pair in England, I cared for two amazing girls, aged 5 and 10, who truly became like little sisters to me. My daily routine included helping them get ready for school, preparing meals, and spending lots of quality time together. We loved going to trampoline parks, doing arts and crafts, swimming, and playing outside—since screen time was limited. I also cooked for myself and my host dad, a single father, which I really enjoyed because I love cooking. I was also responsible for tidying up toys and doing laundry. We built such a strong bond that I still visit them whenever I’m in the UK.

Currently, I’m in Belgium caring for a 10-year-old boy, while his older brother attends boarding school. Since both parents work full-time, I help manage the household—keeping things tidy, cooking for the family, and picking up my host kid from school. We spend time baking, playing games, and chatting—he loves cooking too, which is something we really connect over.

Being an Au Pair abroad allows me to combine two things I love: discovering new cultures and spending time with kids. It's incredibly rewarding to become part of a family, create real connections, and make a positive impact on children’s lives.
