Hello lovely Family! My name is Lea and I am from a small town in Germany.
I‘m a very optimistic, positive and easy-going person, I always try to make the best of every situation. And I‘m also willing to do the best I can, whatever my tasks are. I am sure that if we are a good match, we will have a wonderful time and experience together.
I am looking to start in August-September 2024 and stay until January-February 2025, so about 6 months. I would prefer children between the ages of 4 - 12/13 years.

I would say of myself that I am a very optimistic and positive person. I always see the good in people, but that doesn‘t mean that I am naive, I just want to give everyone the chance to be seen as a great person. Also, I always try to make something positive out of everything that happens to me and see it optimistically :) I‘ve asked my family and friends about my characteristics. I am helpful and according to my friends i am a good listener and very trustworthy. I also can be very stubborn, which according to my sister makes me very assertive. And I also can be very Patient. I would say i’m creative and can be quite spontaneous a lot.
I am also very tidy, Its important for me to take care of my room and make sure it’s clean. At the beginning, I am often very shy an reserved, so I hope my host family is understanding, nice and caring. Then my shyness should be gone very quickly. Also, i‘m very emotional and i‘m good at emphatizing with others and can relate how or what they‘re feeling, so my friends often tell me that I am very empathetic.

My mother tongue is German, which I speak fluently, of course. I also understand and speak English reasonable, I've only learned it at school. So for example, sometimes I'm missing single words, but I hope to learn a lot more and improve my English so that I can speak completely fluently and freely. So my goal is to be able to speak English safely. I also learned Spanish at school. But to be honest, I'm not very good at it.

I am looking for a host family who will take me into their world and show me their country and culture. I wish that my host family would also show interest in me and involve me and would like to take me with them on excursions/trips. Nevertheless, I would also like to use my free time to get to know the new country, the city and new people on my own. I hope to see and experience a lot of new things. I wish that they would see and treat me like a member of the family, and still allow me my freedom. So if we could find a good middle of both, that would be perfect. It is important for me to build a great relationship with the children and also with the parents.
