Brief an die Gastfamilie
Dear Host Family,
Hi! My name is Ania, and I’m so excited about the opportunity to become an Au Pair in Australia and hopefully become part of your family. If you think of a bright, outgoing, and adventurous person who truly enjoys connecting with people, embracing new cultures, and living life with passion and purpose – that’s me!
My love for travel and exploring new places began early when my parents started telling me all their stories from youth, when they left everything and went on an adventurous road trip around southeastern USA. Hearing all the stories opened a very important part of my heart which is exploring, travelling, trying new things, staying opened and saying yes to everything.
I’ve always craved that feeling of stepping into something unfamiliar and learning from it. It made me more open-minded, adaptable, and eager to understand how others live, think, and raise their families. Becoming an Au Pair feels like the perfect way to combine that love for culture and human connection with something that means a lot to me: caring for children.
I’m a natural extrovert who thrives around people, especially kids. I love laughing, being goofy, and creating joyful moments, whether it’s dancing around the living room, making up silly stories, or splashing around in the pool. I adore water and outdoor activities like swimming, hiking, or just exploring nature. I believe in soaking up every bit of life, saying yes to adventure, learning something new every day, and making meaningful memories wherever I go.
But what truly makes me happiest is spending time with children. I genuinely love their honesty, their spontaneous hugs, their bright smiles, and the way they see the world in full color—pure, curious, and full of wonder. Being around kids inspires me to stay playful and present, and I cherish the opportunity to be part of their growth, helping them feel safe, supported, and encouraged every step of the way.
Why do I want to become an Au Pair? Because it combines everything I love—caring for children, being immersed in a new culture, and building deep, real connections with people. It’s more than just a job for me; it’s a chance to make a difference, to be a big sister, mentor, and friend, while creating unforgettable memories together. I truly want to live my life to the fullest with no regrets and I deeply believe, that being your Au pair will make it happen.
I think you should host me because I’m not only fun, energetic, and outgoing, I’m also reliable, hardworking, and deeply responsible. I take childcare seriously and always show up with care and intention. I’ll bring structure when it’s needed, playfulness when it’s time to relax, and warmth always.
I’ve also had several meaningful experiences working with kids:
• I’ve been a Scout Leader Assistant for over 3 years, planning outdoor activities, scout gatherings, teaching young girl scouts hands on knowledge as first aid, history, connecting with people and gaining responsibility and confidence. That role taught me leadership, responsibility, and how to keep things safe and fun.
• For 2 years, I worked as an English tutor for children, helping them with grammar, conversation, reading, and confidence-building. I loved seeing them building confidence with English use, progress and building trust through teaching.
• I also volunteered for a year at my local primary school, where I supported both learning and play - helping with schoolwork during class hours and joining in games and activities during breaks. It was such a fulfilling experience and confirmed my love for being in an environment where kids feel seen and supported.
I’m so looking forward to the possibility of being part of your family, bringing positive energy into your home, and supporting your children as they grow and thrive. I truly hope to share laughs, stories, and experiences that we’ll all remember for years to come.
Warmest regards,
Anna .
