Hi there! My name is Ashley and I am 26 living in Arizona in the U.S. I attended university here and graduated in 2021 with two B.S. degrees in Psychology and Family & Human Development with a minor in Educational Studies. After graduation, I worked for Make-A-Wish in Seattle then moved to San Diego working in the hospitality industry where I traveled about 75% of the time. In both of these roles I was working in Marketing & Event Planning. I was laid off in August 2023 after the company reorganized and started child-care full time. I was a homeschool teacher for a 3rd grader (8 years old) and nanny for a 5 year old on the spectrum. In the summer of 2024, I was a Program Instructor in The Bahamas leading pre-veterinary medicine and wildlife care to middle and high school students. I was solely responsible for the safety and well-being of 12 students each session (3 in total). After that, I solo backpacked Southeast Asia for 5 months. I fell in love of becoming a local in each of these new cities and meeting like-minded people from all across the world.

I want to become an Au Pair/Nanny because I love the vibrant energy and love for life children remind you of. It's an indescribable feeling to be there when they first learn a new skill, discover a new emotion or have something 'click' for the first time - their sense of self and concept of the world are growing and it's such a rewarding thing to be a part of. If I'm lucky, I hope to make a small impact of their life and empower them to be the best version of themself.

I'm well traveled and love experiencing new cultures first hand. I will ask a lot of questions and truly want to seek to understand. I love to cook/bake, happy to run errands, assist with chores and be an active member of the family! I have 3 brothers (the youngest being 5 with Autism) and 1 sister so I am no stranger to helping a house run smoothly!
