Letter to the family

Dear Future Host Family,

My name is Sirine and I am from Sweden. I have recently graduated from the Natural Science program at high school, and I am now eager to embark on a new journey as an Au Pair. I come from a background where working with children has always been a big part of my life, and I truly enjoy creating a safe, fun, and educational environment for them to grow in.

I want to become an Au Pair because I see it as a fantastic opportunity to combine my love for working with children with my passion for cultural exchange. Living with a host family will allow me to experience a new culture from the inside, improve my language skills, and build meaningful relationships. At the same time, I hope to bring warmth, reliability, and enthusiasm into your home.

You should host me because I have extensive experience working with children of different ages and needs. I have worked as a teacher’s assistant for elementary school children, where I helped with learning activities, classroom management, and individual support. Additionally, I have worked as a swimming coach for childrenof all ages including babies and teenagers. I also worked with children with special needs, and have taken courses for working with kids that have diffrent disabilities. I am used to taking responsibility and offering support in different environments, as I have worked in a nursing home, where I learned the importance of care, respect, and understanding individual needs.

Beyond my professional experience, I love to bake and would be happy to share this passion with your family! Whether it’s making fun treats with the kids or cooking together, I believe food brings people closer. I am also organized, responsible, and used to handling different tasks, which I believe will be valuable in supporting your family’s daily routines.

Thank you for considering me as your future Au Pair. I would love to become a part of your family and contribute with both care and joy. I look forward to the possibility of meeting you and learning more about your family!

Warm regards,
Sirine

Experience

I have extensive experience caring for and working with children in various settings. I have worked as a teacher’s assistant in a primary school, where I supported young students with their schoolwork, helped create a calm and positive learning environment, and built strong relationships based on trust and encouragement. In addition, I’ve worked as a swim coach for children between the ages of 0 to 16, including children with special needs. This role helped me develop quick problom solving , creativity, and the ability to adapt to each child’s individual needs.

Through these experiences, I’ve discovered how much I enjoy supporting children’s development and being a part of their everyday lives. I believe these skills translate naturally into the role of an Au Pair, and I’m confident that I can offer a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for your children.

I would love to become an Au Pair abroad because I see it as an opportunity to grow both personally and culturally. Living with a host family in a new country would allow me to fully immerse myself in a new culture, improve my language skills, and gain a deeper understanding of different ways of life. At the same time, I would get to do something meaningful—helping a family and building close bonds with the children. It’s a unique chance to learn, contribute, and experience something truly life-changing.
