Letter to the family

My name is Hannah, I am 20 years old, and I come from New Zealand. I am the oldest of five girls, so I have grown up helping to care for my younger sisters and naturally developed patience, responsibility, and a love of being around children.
I would love to become an Au Pair & Nanny because working with children brings me joy and purpose. I have already gained experience in many different capacities, including nannying, working as a boarding matron, and serving as a church youth worker. Each of these roles has taught me how to support children of different ages, encourage their growth, and create a safe and caring environment.
I believe you should host me because I am dependable, adaptable, and genuinely enthusiastic about becoming part of your family. I am committed to not only helping with childcare and routines, but also bringing positivity, creativity, and support to your household. As the eldest sibling in a large family, I understand the importance of being a role model and balancing fun with responsibility.
I qualify for this position because of both my background and my character. My hands-on experience caring for children in different settings has prepared me well, and my studies in psychology have given me an understanding of child development that I hope to put into practice. Experience

I have gained a wide range of experience working with children in different roles. I have worked as a nanny, caring for children of various ages and supporting their daily routines. I have also been employed as a boarding matron, where I was responsible for the wellbeing of a large group of students, ensuring their safety, organisation, and comfort away from home. In addition, I serve as a church youth worker, where I help to lead activities, mentor young people, and encourage them in their personal development. Beyond these roles, I have naturally grown up with responsibility, as I am the oldest of five girls and have always been actively involved in caring for my younger sisters. These experiences have given me strong skills in responsibility, patience, and adaptability, as well as the ability to create safe and nurturing environments for children.

I would love to become an Au Pair & Nanny abroad because I enjoy working with children and feel fulfilled when I can contribute to their growth, learning, and happiness. At the same time, I see this as an opportunity to experience life in a new culture, broaden my perspective, and build meaningful relationships with a host family. I believe that living abroad as an Au Pair will allow me to combine my passion for childcare with my curiosity about the world, while also sharing my own culture and experiences.
