Klara (19 / Ms. ), German, Graduate (high school) living in Germany looking for Au Pair job in France, Iceland, Sweden, Netherlands & Switzerland for 6-8 Months

Dear future host family :)
My name is Klara, I am 19 years old and from Germany. I would love to be an au pair in your family and become a big sister to your kids. I love to be creative and active. In particular, I enjoy arts&crafts and a variety of sports.
I enjoy playing football, going skiing and hiking, horseback riding, running, swimming and going to the gym.
I also love music and play the flute and a little bit of the guitar. In addition to that, I´m an animal lover and love to take care of cats, dogs, horses or whatever pets your family has! I´m always open to try new sports and activities that your family might enjoy!
I also really enjoy driving and wouldn't mind for it to be a part of my work.

In general, I would describe myself as open-minded, curious, hardworking and flexible. I speak German and English fluently and am proficient in Spanish. That is because I have always loved to be abroad.
During my high school time, I spent a year as a student in the U.S. In my host family there, I had a 1-year-old sister and a 5-year-old brother. I learned a lot about being a big sister and babysat them from time to time.
Additionally, I babysat neighbor´s kids once a week. They were two lovely little girls. I also did some babysitting and tutoring in Germany for family and friends.
Moreover, I did a 2-week internship in a primary school and a 2-week internship in a kindergarten. I really enjoyed that and it contributed to my wish of being an Au Pair.

Overall, I gained lots of experience on how to play with children and have fun while still having some ground rules set. I am always respectful with children and their boundaries and read between the lines to figure out what they might need or what is bothering them.
I try to be understanding and really patient because I want to give them space to figure things out on their own while still assisting them when they need/want it. I would love to adapt to your rules and parenting style and learn from you to know what is best for your kids!

I graduated high school in summer of 2023 and decided to do a voluntary service afterwards. That is why I´m currently living in Ecuador for 1 year until August 2024. Here, I work in a primary school in an indigenous community and teach English, Art and Sports. I also live in an indigenous family for 3 days a week and have two little brothers, 5 months and 5 years old. During my time here, I am learning different teaching methods and how to approach mental blocks and frustration. I have a lot of fun teaching them through different ways and playing with them after school.

I enjoy living in different environments, nature and city are both great to me! I would like to be somewhat close to a city, but I don´t mind a little trip to get there. In general, I also want to learn a new language so I would study before to learn your country´s language. I would love to take care of your children and play with them when you need me to.
I also really enjoy cooking and doing the groceries and I don´t mind some light housework like cleaning and laundry. Outside of my work time, I would love to explore your neighborhood, town or country as much as possible and do family activities together.
I really want to be an active member of your family and grow close with you <3
Ideally, I want to start working and living with you in January of 2025 and stay for 6-8 months.
