Letter to the family

Hello! I am Maria Jesus, I am 24 years old and I am from Uruguay. I am a student of the Bachelor's Degree in Textile Design, doing my thesis.

This year I was on vacation in Switzerland for a month and I fell in love with the country. I want to be an Au Pair to have the opportunity to get to know it better while I evaluate professional possibilities of staying.

I come from a large family, I have many brothers/sisters (5, I am the youngest) and also nephews/nieces (11) so I have experience dealing with people of different ages, patience and the ability to relate and understand differences.

I really like children and it is easy for me to relate to them, I have also been a teacher at school, at high school level, which is a plus when it comes to experience in human relations.

I have also taken care of my grandmother for a while, who is 89 years old :)

The family should host me because I am a person who easily adapts to the rules of coexistence, and I am also respectful of spaces and customs.

Experience

I have not been an Au Pair. But I have experience living with children and caring sporadically.

During 2023 I lived in Mexico City. My older brother has family there and I went to study for a month at the University of Mexico, while I lived at his house with his family. He has two children, one 6 years old and the other 1 year old. I was not his babysitter but I competed with them and from time to time I took care of them while their parents were busy.

I also took care of some of my nieces in Uruguay when I was a teenager for various periods of time.
