Dear Host Family,

my name is Gohar, but everyone calls me Virginia (Gigi). I’m 24 years old and I live in Frankfurt, Germany. In March, I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Geography at Goethe University. I currently work part-time as a working student in Investment Management at a real estate company. In October, I will begin my Master’s studies in Economic Geography, also at Goethe University.

Between my Bachelor’s and Master’s programs, I would love to spend some time as an au pair in Italy. I’m very interested in Italian culture and would like to improve my Italian, especially because I plan to do my semester abroad in Italy. I see being an au pair as a wonderful opportunity to get to know the country, the people, and the language, and to become part of a family.

I’m an open-minded, reliable, and responsible person. With my patient and warm nature, I bring a lot of joy into working with children. Since I was 16, I’ve regularly taken care of kids – these experiences taught me how important empathy, creativity, and responsibility are in everyday life with children.

In my free time, I enjoy going for walks, spending time in nature, and meeting up with friends – especially in the summer when we do a lot of activities together. I live in a shared flat with two friends, but I often visit my parents who live nearby.

I would be truly happy to get to know you and to become part of your family. And who knows – maybe we’ll even see each other again when I return to Sicily for my semester abroad!
