Dear Host Family,

I'm Bia, I'm 24 years old, from Brazil. I have a Law degree, and over the past years, I’ve gained experience working in different fields, including legal and administrative roles, customer service, and especially childcare.

I want to become an au pair again because I truly enjoy being part of a family’s daily life, supporting children in their development, and learning about new cultures. After spending two wonderful years as an au pair in the United States, I realized how much this experience helped me grow personally and professionally. Now, I would love to continue this journey in Europe, especially in a French-speaking country, as I’m currently learning French and I think it's a beautiful language.

You should host me because I’m responsible, caring, adaptable, independent and have over 14,000 hours of hands-on childcare experience, including with infants and toddlers. I’m Infant Qualified and certified in Pediatric First Aid and CPR.

Experience

I spent two years in the United States as an au pair, living with three different host families and caring for children aged between 1 and 7 years old. During this time, I gained experience with different family routines, parenting styles, and children’s needs at various stages of development. My responsibilities included meal preparation, school drop-offs and pick-ups, playtime, educational activities, and bedtime routines.

This international experience helped me mature in many ways and allowed me to truly discover who I am. I became more independent, flexible, and confident in my ability to adapt and handle new situations.
Being an au pair abroad is such a rewarding experience for me because it combines my love for working with children with my passion for learning about new cultures and languages. I’m sure this new chapter will help me grow even more, both personally and professionally.
