Letter to the family
Excited and Ready to Join Your Family!
I am thrilled to share that I have my visa appointment This means I am fully prepared and eager to begin my au pair journey, bringing warmth, care, and enthusiasm to your home very soon. I look forward to the opportunity to become a loving part of your family and to share wonderful cultural experiences together!
Dear Wonderful Family,
If you're reading this, tha you already. It means the world to me that you're opening your home—and your hearts—to someone from across the globe. My name is Jaharana, I’m 19, and I come from a little corner of Kerala, India, where the days are filled with family, food, and lots of noisy kids!
I’m not writing this to just say I “like children”—you probably hear that in every letter. I’m writing to say: I understand them. I know the joy in their sudden laughter, the silence in their sleepy eyes, and the magic in their endless questions. I've grown up surrounded by little ones—my two young nephews are practically my tiny best friends. With them, I’ve learned how to turn spoons into spaceships, stories into sleep, and boring afternoons into dance shows.
I didn’t grow up with much, but I grew up with everything that truly matters—love, patience, sharing, and the idea that taking care of someone is one of the most meaningful things we can do in life. That’s what draws me to your home—not just the travel or the experience, but the chance to be a kind and stable presence in your children's everyday world.
I don’t smoke, I don’t drive (yet!), but I do sing loudly, laugh easily, and try my best—always. I can promise you this: your children will be safe, seen, and heard when they’re with me. I’ll learn your routines, support your parenting style, and bring light, stories, and care into your home.
My hobbies? I love music (I sing when I cook!), I read books like they’re friends, I dance badly but with joy, and I love learning new things. That’s why I’ve started learning German—it’s exciting to imagine speaking with you and your children in your own language someday soon!
Being your au pair isn’t just a job for me. It’s a dream, a responsibility, and a way to grow into the kind of person I want to be: brave, kind, and full of curiosity about the world.
So if you’re looking for someone who will love your children like a big sister, treat your home with respect, and bring warmth, creativity, and genuine care—I'm already on my way, heart first.
With excitement and sunshine,
Jaharana
