Letter to the family
Originally translated from Español
Dear Family,
My name is Emma, I'm 19 years old and I'm from Italy. I'm writing to you with a heart full of enthusiasm because I'm looking for a family to start a new adventure with as an Au Pair and Nanny, and I truly hope it can be yours!
I chose to embark on this journey because I deeply love working with children and find great joy in contributing to their growth and daily well-being. For me, being an Au Pair isn't just about caring for little ones, but also becoming part of their lives, accompanying them with love and responsibility, and learning something new from them every day. I think it's one of the most beautiful things you can do, because every day is different, full of energy, and small, big discoveries.
I've long dreamed of going abroad for an experience, not only to grow as a person and improve my language skills, but also to experience a different culture and live in a new family environment. I know it's not always easy, but that's precisely what drives me: I'm eager to challenge myself, learn, help, and become a role model for your children.
I believe a family should host me because I'm reliable, sweet, cheerful, and very determined, attentive and sensitive to the children's needs. I have a natural ability to listen, I know how to create a calm and fun environment, and I have a lot of patience—qualities I consider essential for building a trusting relationship with children and with you, the parents. When I make a commitment, I follow through with it seriously and wholeheartedly. I adapt easily and am ready to integrate into your family routine with respect and availability. I always give my all in what I do and deeply respect family rules and values. I'm not afraid to lend a hand around the house when needed, and it's important to me to build a calm and sincere relationship with all family members.
Regarding my experience, I've babysat children of various ages, both within my own family and for friends and acquaintances. I enjoy inventing games, reading stories, helping with homework, and doing anything that makes them feel loved and safe. I also have basic first aid knowledge and speak Italian and English at a B2 level, which I hope to improve even further during my time with you.
I'm truly ready to leave, eager to do my best, and eager to build a special bond with you and your children.
Thank you so much for reading my letter,
I hope to meet you soon!
Lovely,
Emma
