Letter to the family

Dear host family:

My name is Mauro, I am 24 years old and I am from Argentina.
I currently live alone and I am studying a degree in Geology and previously I worked in a shoe mall. Since I was a child I assumed many responsibilities at home, since I am the oldest of my siblings, and I took care of them during most of their childhood. That experience helped me develop patience, empathy and a great connection with the little ones.
I would like to be an Au Pair because it is a way to fulfill one of my biggest dreams: to live in another country, get to know new cultures and at the same time improve my English level. I feel that this experience will not only enrich me on a personal level, but it will also allow me to contribute something valuable to the family that receives me.
I believe that I can be a great companion for your children, as I am a kind, charismatic, responsible, creative and helpful person. I enjoy cooking and art, especially drawing and painting. I would love to share these activities with children, motivate them to create and express themselves through art, and accompany them in their daily lives with love and attention.
I speak Spanish as my mother tongue and I have an intermediate level (B1) of English, with a great desire to continue learning. I am committed to integrate myself with respect and enthusiasm to your family, giving the best of me in every moment.

Experience

I have not worked as an Au Pair before, but I do have experience taking care of children. Since I am the oldest sibling in my family, I helped take care of my younger siblings throughout their childhood, accompanying them in their daily routines. I also babysat two little girls in my hometown for a couple of months while their parents worked. I really enjoyed the time shared with the children: playing with them, helping them with their homework and being someone they could trust.
I would love to be an Au Pair abroad because I would love to discover new cultures and learn languages. I think living with a host family and taking care of their children would be an amazing experience to grow personally, and at the same time share my culture and positive energy with them!
