Keira (21 / Ms. ), American, Student - Social Science living in USA looking for Au Pair & Nanny job in United Kingdom for 6-24 Months

Hi! My name is Keira, and I am very excited about starting the process of becoming an Au Pair/Nanny! I am 21 years old and currently a senior at the University of California, San Diego in America. I am studying to become a lawyer, but I have a strong desire to take a gap year once I graduate in June of 2026, and I thought becoming an Au Pair might be the perfect way to see more of the world. I recently visited London for 2 weeks and fell in love with it! I would strongly consider moving there one day, but I would love to test out the waters through a program like this first. The reason I am leaning towards an Au Pair/Nanny position is because childcare has always been a part of my life. I am the youngest sibling in my family and became an aunt at nine years old, meaning I have had over 12 years of experience helping to raise my niece and nephew. Additionally, my mother worked in childcare for years and would often babysit children at our house, and of course I was always glad to help out. I am extremely looking forward to one day having children of my own and would be very happy to find a family in the UK who would benefit from my help. I believe that a potential candidate should host me because I will do everything in my power to make their lives easier while I am there; I am very hardworking, both with childcare as well as housework, running errands, etc. I would be more than happy to help out with anything the parent/s may need, and I am eager to become a part of the routine! I believe I qualify for this position because as previously mentioned, I started babysitting my niece and nephew from 2 months old onwards, so I have had experience with all the different stages of childhood. Additionally, last summer I moved to LA from July-September and babysat my 3-year-old cousin during the weekdays while her parents worked; I would not trade those months for anything! My extended family is massive, so I always grew up as the cousin who was available to babysit younger cousins at any time, and during any family event you could find me playing games and taking care of the younger children. Overall, I think this program would be a perfect fit for me, and I hope anyone reading this letter does not hesitate to reach out!
