Letter to the family

Dear Family!

My name is Ewa. If I would have to describe myself in three words I would say that I am positive, creative, and curious. But I would rather say more because I am also very talkative ;)

I grew up in a middle-size polish town called Tarnobrzeg. Though middle and high school times I used to spend most of my free time being firstly scout, then a scout leader. I mostly worked with children ages 12-17. "Learning through play" which was the main foundation in scouting association, turned out to be a great lesson for me as a leader as well. I attended many courses, including topics such as childhood development, first aid, planning time entertainment for different age groups. The most important what I get from this experience was to be not only a leader but also a friend.

After high school, I moved to Kraków - the second biggest city in Poland for the university. That was the time for my other passion - sewing. After 3 years, I graduated with a fashion designer diploma and decided that time for another change has come.

Between 2017 - 2018 I took part in a one-year AuPair exchange in the USA. I used to live in Princeton, NJ and I was an au pair for three amazing children: Juliette (9 years old), Daniel (11 years old), and Alana (14 years old). It was an amazing time. I had a chance to be in their life throughout the whole year - including school and after school activities, sicknesses, summer holidays. I was an older sister, a cook, a nurse, a problem solver. It was not always easy and fun, we also had bad days, small arguments or my opinion was different than children or parents one - but we were always finding a solution together, through a conversation and understanding the other. Time in the USA was also loads of travel and some other small voluntary services whenever I get to have some free time.

In 2019 I came back to Kraków, Poland, and started working as a tourist city guide. I really enjoyed my job, every day and every tour was different from each other.

So why an AuPair / Live in Help?
I would like to have another chance to spend time with children, give them the best from myself, and learn many interesting things from them.

Why should you consider me for this position?
I am responsible, consistent and I am not afraid to talk and solve difficult situations. I have "to do" attitude and know what "compromise" means. I have an AuPair experience.

How my perfect AuPair time would look like?
Loads of laugh and positive moments. Spending time outside on games, sports, and activities. Creating art and handmade projects. Cooking together international dished and talking about everything that interests us. I can speak and help children with English. I'm currently learning French so the family who can accept me speaking on basic level and help me improve my skills would be a perfect match :)
