Hi! My name is Arwen, and I’m an 18-year-old from London, Ontario with a deep love for children, animals, and adventure. I recently attended Fanshawe College where I studied social work and played varsity soccer, but I realized I’m ready to explore a different path and gain real-world life experience. Becoming an au pair feels like the perfect opportunity to combine my passion for caregiving with my desire to see more of the world. I’m a warm, happy, and energetic person who takes pride in being a reliable, gentle, and trustworthy presence in a child’s life—not just as a caregiver, but as a friend. I have extensive experience nannying and caring for children of all ages, as well as looking after pets (and even plants!). I’m excited to bring my energy, kindness, and love for children into a new family’s home and create meaningful, lasting connections.

Experience

A host family should choose me as their au pair because I am a responsible, caring, and experienced individual with a strong background in childcare and household support. I have my Canadian Food Handling Certification, which ensures I can safely prepare and handle meals for your family. I also have hands-on experience nannying my aunt and uncle’s two children, aged 4 and 8, for 12 months, along with caring for their family dog. This experience has equipped me with the patience, creativity, and attention to detail needed to provide a nurturing and safe environment for both children and pets. I take pride in keeping a clean, organized home and fostering a fun, respectful atmosphere for everyone. I want to be an au pair because it offers a unique opportunity to see the world while doing something truly meaningful—caring for children. I’ve always enjoyed spending time with kids and helping them grow, and being an au pair allows me to support a family while experiencing a new culture firsthand. I’m excited about the chance to explore different places, learn new traditions, and build strong connections with the children I care for, all while contributing positively to their daily lives.
