Letter to the family

Dear Host Family,

My name is Paulina, I’m 19 years old, originally from Guatemala, and currently studying at the University of Economics in Vienna. I come from a big family and have two younger siblings—one is 16 and the other just 7—so I’ve been around kids all my life.

Since I was 12, I’ve helped care for my siblings and cousins, and I’ve also hosted summer camps for children aged 4 to 8. I genuinely love spending time with kids, playing with them, helping them learn, and being a supportive and fun presence in their daily lives.

I want to become an Au Pair & Nanny because I enjoy working with children and would love to become part of a new family and culture. I believe my experience, warm personality, and sense of responsibility make me a great fit for your family.

Experience

Although I haven’t officially worked as an Au Pair before, I have years of experience caring for children. Growing up in a big family in Guatemala, I’ve looked after my younger siblings (now 16 and 7 years old) and many of my little cousins since I was around 12. I’ve also organized and led summer camps for children between 4 and 8 years old, where I was responsible for planning activities, keeping them engaged, and ensuring their safety.

I would love to become an Au Pair & Nanny abroad because I truly enjoy spending time with children and feel comfortable taking care of them. At the same time, I’m curious about experiencing everyday life in a different culture, improving my language skills, and building meaningful relationships with a host family. It’s a unique opportunity to grow both personally and professionally while doing something I genuinely love.
