Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

My name is Harriet and I live with my partner Richard and my daughter Henrietta (Hetty) who is 6 this month. We live in Harborne, Birmingham and currently have an au pair who is due to move to her new family this summer after spending a year with us.

Job Description

We are looking for someone to help get Hetty ready for school on a morning and take her to school - which is a 7 min walk - approx 3-4 mornings a week.
Also to collect her from school 2-3 afternoons and help look after her either until I get home or bed time (7.30pm).

We may also ask for some help at the weekends although Hetty currently spends every other weekend at her Dads house - making it ideal if you want weekends to travel or visit friends.
We may then ask for a bit of help with tidying up her toys or day to day things like emptying the dishwasher and cooking dinner.

Our current au pair is due to finish in July and we are away a lot in August so ideal start date would be end of Aug/September.

Accommodation

We have a basement conversion and can offer your own bedroom and bathroom with its own outdoor access via a separate side entrance - so you would have some independence.

We are a couple mins walk from bus stops which has great links across the city. We are a 2 min walk from Harborne high street which has lots of shops, bars, coffee shops, restaurants, yoga studio, gym, swimming pool, library etc.
We are less than 10 mins from New Street train station which can get you to London Euston in 1hr 20mins.

We often go to stay with my parents who live in rural staffordshire, they have lots of space, woods, some ponies in the field and its a great escape from the city. Again, there is a spare bedroom there, should you want to join us.
