Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

My name is Harriet and I live with my partner Richard, my daughter Henrietta (Hetty) who is 6 and our son is due in April. We live in Harborne, Birmingham.

Job Description

With the new arrival due in a couple of months, we are looking for someone to form a strong bond with Hetty to help her with the transition of no longer being an only child. I will be off work on maternity leave so we are primarily looking for some help with Hetty -getting her ready for school on a morning and to walk her to school - which is a short walk, collect her from school, help with homework, playing cooking her dinner and helping with bedtime routines.

We may also ask for some help at the weekends although Hetty currently spends every other weekend at her Dads house - making it ideal if you want weekends to travel or visit friends.

Once the baby arrives and we've settled into a routine and RIchard is back at work after paternity leave, we would also ask for some help during the day to look after the baby whilst I may need to catch up on some sleep or pop out to appointments etc.

Accommodation

We have a basement conversion and can offer your own bedroom and bathroom with its own outdoor access via a separate side entrance - so you would have some independence.

We are a couple mins walk from bus stops which has great links across the city. We are a 2 min walk from Harborne high street which has lots of shops, bars, coffee shops, restaurants, yoga studio, gym, swimming pool, library etc.
We are less than 10 mins from New Street train station which can get you to London Euston in under 1.5 hrs.

We often go to stay with my parents who live in rural Staffordshire, they have lots of space, woods, some ponies in the field and its a great escape from the city. Again, there are spare bedrooms there, should you want to join us when we visit them.
