Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hello! We are Eduardo (36), Lena (34) and Luna (almost 1 year old!). We are a Brazilian-German family living in Cologne, Germany's 4th largest city of almost 1 million people. We are a young and dynamic family with a very lovely, calm, curious and wonderful little girl. We speak a mix of German, English and Portuguese at home. Both of us spent some of our younger years abroad, so we know what an enriching opportunity it is to get to live in a new country - and we would very much like to pass this possibility on to you. To us hosting an Au Pair is also a cultural exchange. We want to provide you with a cozy home and a family atmosphere in our house. Our home is located in a district called "Ehrenfeld", one of Cologne's most vibrant neighbourhoods full of nice cafés, restaurants, yoga studios, and spots for going out. Connection by public transport is right in front of our home.

Job Description

We are both working (mainly from home, but Lena also goes into the office) and would love to host you as Au Pair to help us make the days filled with fun and joy for Luna. This includes playing with her at home, taking her to the playgrounds close by (either walking or by bike), and helping us prepare some delicious little snacks for her. We would also love to host someone from Brazil who can speak Portuguese with Luna, as half of her family is in Brazil. In short: this is be the easiest and most fun job you will ever have in your whole life! :)

Accommodation

Our AuPair will have their own room with a very comfortable sofa bed which can easily be turned into a double bed. The room also has a closet as well as a desk and some plants. We can provide anything else that may be needed. We will all share the other spaces in our apartment (a nice big bathroom with three windows, a lovely kitchen with a balcony, as well as a cozy living room area). We have WIFI access directly in the apartment. Of course electricity as well as warm water are also included.
