Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Dear au pair,
We are looking for an open and friendly person who would like to become part of our family. Our son loves to play soccer or basketball. There is a playground and soccer field directly across from our house.
We have a dog that you would need to walk three times a day. We live in a village near Cologne in the countryside. It's very beautiful. Cologne is about a 30-minute train ride away. Supermarkets and various shops are within cycling distance. We sometimes travel on weekends; if you'd like, you're welcome to come along. You'll have enough time to take a language course. This will take place in Cologne.

Job Description

I work very irregularly. If I have a project, I'm sometimes away overnight. Then an au pair has to look after our child. They make breakfast in the morning, pick them up from school, and prepare dinner. The school is about 200 meters away and can be reached on foot.

When I'm home, you have time to take a language course.
Vacuuming needs to be done about once a week, and ironing would be part of your chores.
