Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

We are a family of five and a dog. We are all very outgoing and enjoy spending time as a family together. We like to get outdoors as much as possible and travel.

We live on the coast about 3 kilometres from the city centre. We live in a lovely village which has great cafes, restaurants, pubs, parks, beach etc. There are a lot of childminders and au pairs in the area and they have a food community. It’s one of the nicest areas in Dublin.

Our three boys are all very different in personality. William, the eldest is a little gentleman, Rían is an active boy who loves to be outdoors and Alexander is the happiest child of the bunch. William and Rían are in Montessori 5 days a week until 5pm.

Job Description

You are minding one child full time. William and Rian are in childcare from 9am- 5pm five days a week. In July and August William and Rían are in school half days, then back full time in September. Emily and I will be off for a number of weeks in July and August to support.

The job would start at 8.30am and finishing at 5.30am Monday to Friday with the weekends free, with €150 payment a week. Your weekends would be free to explore the city (10 mins away) and countryside and meet friends. There will be the opportunity to earn more money for babysitting. There’s paid annual leave including two weeks over Christmas, if that suits.

The job duties involve looking after the boys and cooking them lunch. We’ll cook breakfast and dinner. We do not expect any house cleaning duties except for tidying up toys and keeping the kitchen area clean during the day.
