Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Au Pair to join our family and assist us in the running of our family household. This role involves a blend of indoor, outdoor, and administrative responsibilities aimed at helping our household run smoothly while supporting the well-being of our three children.
Indoor Responsibilities:
Perform regular cleaning tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and maintaining overall cleanliness.
Handle all laundry duties, including washing, ironing, folding, and organizing clothes.
Keep the kitchen clean and organized by handling dishwashing, maintaining clean surfaces and appliances, and organizing the pantry and fridge.
Assist with light meal preparation for the children (toddlers and preschool-age), including lunches and snacks.
Help with meal preparation, which may include weekly menu planning.
Outdoor Responsibilities:
Maintain the backyard and outdoor areas, ensuring they are clean and ready for family and social events.
Regularly clean outdoor spaces, such as porches and patios, and ensure outdoor furniture is in good condition.
Conduct routine safety inspections and address any outdoor hazards.
Childcare Support:
Assist in preparing the children for their day by getting their lunches and outfits ready for preschool or daily activities.
Provide light meal preparation for the toddlers and assist with keeping them engaged in play and learning activities.
Administrative Duties:
Manage the household’s emails and draft responses on behalf of the family.
Keep track of household bills, ensuring timely payments and assisting with minor household budgeting tasks.
Assist in organizing and coordinating family and social events, including managing invitations, logistics, and general preparation.
Run various errands, such as grocery shopping, picking up prescriptions, and dry cleaning drop-off and pickup.
Desirable Skills and Requirements:
Previous Experience in Childcare: You should have hands-on experience with household management, childcare, and meal preparation.
Organizational Skills: A high level of organization is needed to manage household tasks efficiently.
Attention to Detail: You must be detail-oriented to maintain the cleanliness and organization of both indoor and outdoor spaces.
Flexibility: Flexibility and adaptability are essential to meet the dynamic needs of the household.
Driving License: A valid driver’s license is required to handle errands and transport the children when needed.
Communication Skills: Strong communication skills are essential for managing administrative tasks such as email correspondence and event coordination.
Team Player: You’ll be working closely with the family, so being a cooperative and reliable team member is key.
First Aid Certification: A first aid certification is a bonus, as it ensures you are prepared to handle minor emergencies that may arise with the children.
