My daughter and I are a happy single-parent family living in Worcester. Worcester is in the middle of England, about 130 miles from London. It is a small city, full of character, with a cathedral and lots of history. It is also famous for Worcestershire Sauce which is world famous. We live on the edge of the City, with open country in front of our house. We can see sheep in the adjoining fields.

Worcester has a good train service, with fast trains to London and other parts of the country. There are buses near our house to take you into the centre of the city – about a ten minute trip. There is a large country park nearby which is great for walking and being out in nature.

My daughter is full of fun. She loves everything to do with horses, and has been able to ride since she was three years old. She also loves all animals, and enjoys trips to local farms to visit the cows, sheep, and pigs, as well as the horses. She also does lots of activities. She likes ballet, swimming and gymnastics.

We have a large supportive family here in Worcester, many of whom have a Chilean background. I myself am bilingual in English and Spanish.

I am twenty-seven years old and enjoy meeting new people and getting to know them. I would welcome the chance to help with English language learning, if needed. I work and study from home as I have a disability following an operation, from which I am making steady progress. (I have carers at times who come to the house to give me some extra help when it is needed.)

I would very much like the au pair to become part of the family and to look after my daughter, as a friend, to help her get to and from school during term time and also to help with cooking, and light housework as well as helping her with play and with her activities, particularly during the school holidays.

We have a four-bedroom modern house which is only a few years old. You would have your own bedroom and share a bathroom with my daughter. (I have my own ensuite bathroom.) There is a good-sized rear garden with kid’s playground equipment.

We have a cat called Salem who is generally well behaved.
