Lettera alla Famiglia
Dear Host Family,
My name is Esteban, I am a 26-year-old young man from France. I am very motivated to become an Au Pair in the United Kingdom because I truly love this country and I would like to live there for a while. This experience will give me the opportunity to improve my English, discover British culture, and share my French culture with a welcoming family.
I have reached a CAP level in Early Childhood Education, where I gained valuable experience in caring for children. I am responsible, patient, and creative, and I enjoy helping children learn, grow, and have fun in a safe environment.
I am also passionate about Harry Potter, and I love cultural traditions such as Christmas, Halloween, and Easter, which are moments of joy and sharing for families and children. I am open-minded, respectful, and happy to adapt to the lifestyle of the family I will join.
Above all, I would be delighted to become part of your family, to support you in your daily life, and to share meaningful and fun experiences with your children. I look forward to creating positive memories together.
I am very creative and enjoy making videos, editing, and exploring the world of cinema, actors, and directors. I also play video games and create content as a YouTuber, but this is always done privately in my free time. I do not spend all my time on these hobbies, and I do not impose them on the family — I am happy to share them only if the family is interested.
Above all, I am responsible and caring, and my main priority is taking good care of the children. I always ask for the parents’ permission for any activity, and families can be confident that I respect their rules and routines.
I also have a strong interest in LEGO City and would be happy to share this hobby with children who enjoy building and imagining stories. I enjoy spending time outdoors, discovering new places, playing board games, and engaging in fun and educational activities with children.
I am flexible, open-minded, and motivated to live in the United Kingdom, improve my English, and fully participate in family life.
In my free time, I enjoy being creative and making videos, especially editing and filming for my YouTube channel. I also like playing video games, but this is only one of my hobbies and I do not spend all my time on it.
I enjoy many other activities such as exploring nature, going for walks, visiting new places, and spending time in the city. I also like board games, Harry Potter, and family celebrations such as Christmas, Halloween, and Easter. Since childhood, I have had a strong interest in LEGO City, and even if I don’t have LEGO at the moment, I would be happy to share this passion with children who enjoy building and playing with it.
I also enjoy going out to eat at restaurants when I can, as I like discovering new food and enjoying good meals.
During my free time, I also enjoy sharing activities with people around me, and I like spending quality time with the family I live with, not only doing my own hobbies.
I would describe myself as a responsible, patient and creative young man. I enjoy learning new things, meeting people from different cultures, and discovering new places. I am curious and open-minded, which helps me adapt easily to different situations.
I am also very creative — I love making videos, editing, and exploring the world of cinema, actors and directors. Of course, I sometimes play video games, but this is not the only thing I do. I also enjoy many other activities such as board games, travelling, walking in nature, and spending time with people.
I am calm, caring and reliable, which makes me someone children can feel safe with. I also accept families as they are — I respect their lifestyle and I am ready to adapt to their routines and needs.
As a young man, my main expectation is to find a kind and welcoming host family where I can feel included and appreciated. I know very well that it is not my own home, but I hope to be considered as part of the family, and not only as someone who is there to work.
I would really like to share moments and activities with the family, without ever imposing myself. It is important for me not to feel left aside, while also respecting the family’s private time. I adapt easily to different lifestyles, rhythms, and cultures, and I am always respectful of house rules.
I am also conscious that being an Au Pair is a job, and that the parents are in a way also my employers. That is why I will always remain professional and respectful, while at the same time being open, friendly, and willing to integrate into the family’s daily life.
I am 26 years old, and I consider myself mature, responsible, and active. I have already learned many things from life, and I feel ready to take on this experience with seriousness and motivation. At the same time, I wish to use this opportunity to improve my English and prepare myself to integrate into British society, as my long-term goal is to live in the United Kingdom.
For me, the most important thing is to create a balance between professionalism and family life, so that everyone feels comfortable and the experience is positive for both sides.
