Hey! My name is Shay, I'm 23 years old, from Israel. I just came back from almost a year of solo traveling from South Asia where I had interactions with many people from different cultures which it taught me a lot about myself, how to communication with others and to learn to love being truly independent.
I'm in the education programs from all my adult life since high school, i was in the Israeli scouts since i was in elementary school, after i got to high school i became a guide for different ages for 2 years, at my senior year i became in charge and the leader of the 8 guides who each one of the had their own groups that they lead.
When i finished high school i went to a volunteering gap year, i lived with 8 people in an apartment at north Israel and together we were volunteering in community programs in elementary school and informal educational programs such as after school art/ sport classes and more.
Afterwards I started the 2 years mandatory service and based in north Israel, there i challenged with new experiences and living outside my home and family.
As soon as i could i got in to a program there I was guiding high school students for 2 years and in the meantime I was babysitting on different aged from 2-10.
Therefore i have a lot of experience with communication with children from all kinds of ages, from teaching them new things, having fun, and know how to speak at eye level that we both feel comfortable.
