Dear Host Family, my name is Holly, and I'm from Ottawa, Canada. I am the oldest of five children and would describe myself as very energetic and talkative. I want to become an Au Pair to gain more experience working with children before I go to university to become an elementary school teacher, as I believe this experience will be invaluable for my future career. It would also give me the opportunity to travel, which has always been a dream of mine. I am the oldest of five siblings, so I’ve been babysitting my whole life, taking on responsibilities like helping with homework, caring for them, and organizing activities. Additionally, every summer, I volunteer at a summer camp, working with children of various ages, and I also spend each week at Sunday school, assisting with teaching and looking after younger children. These experiences have not only allowed me to develop strong childcare skills but have also helped me develop a true passion for working with kids. I believe my background in caregiving, my patience, and my enthusiasm for children make me a great candidate for this role, and I’m excited about the opportunity to immerse myself in a new culture while doing something I love.
