Hi!

I'm Alma, 18-year-old high school student from Finland. I'm going to graduate in the end of may 2024, but for now I am studying for my finals (matriculation examination) and working along my studies.

Being an au pair and working abroad has been my dream as long as i can remember. And now after schools it would finally be possible. I have three brothers and when i was younger we had three ”foster children” that visited us almost weekly. I have lived my whole life around children for example with my younger siblings and with my twenty cousins. That has made me a very caring and loving "child person".

I also have a lot of experience of working with children. I have been a permanent babysitter for couple families for about two years now. This year i have done around 200 hours of babysitting in different families. The children's ages have been everything between 10months and 15-year-old. Mostly I've babysat 1-5-year-old kids. In the past two summers i have worked on youth camps. I have also worked in a farm as a kids clubs and camps counselor. Last summer i worked in a local health center as an assistant and I volunteered at festivals and events.

In my opinion I'm calm but sociable. I'm creative, adventurous and also responsible. I'm a person who likes to think everything in a positive way! I'm interested in different cultures and learning new things. I love to see new places and have new experiences. I have traveled to Sweden, Norway, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Hungary, France, Monaco, Italy, Spain, Croatia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina and United States. My native language is Finnish and i have studied English, Swedish and a little bit of Spanish.

In my free time i like to play padel, go for walks and spend time with my friends and family. With kids i really enjoy doing arts like drawing, painting and crafting. I also like to play board games, play sports, bake and read. I've had a lot of hobbies in the past. For example, I have tried ballet, street dance, jazz, riding, yoga, gym and done five years of theater/acting. From my theater hobby I've got lots of games and plays to play with children. I always found something to do!
