Dear Host Family, hello!

My name is Alice, I’m a 25-year-old girl from Italy. I was raised in a small town in the north called Sassuolo, but I moved to Padova right after high school to pursue a degree in psychology. I’ve lived there for the past five years with three amazing flatmates and absolutely love it — although I still go back home often to visit my family.

I would describe myself as an outgoing and positive person, but also very responsible and reliable. I love spending time with others — I can be cheerful and a bit ironic — but I’m also an introvert at heart, so I do enjoy having some quiet time to recharge after a busy day. I adore sunny days, outdoor activities, and being in nature, especially by the sea.

I also enjoy challenging myself with new experiences, which is why I chose to spend six months in the United States during high school, and later another six months in Valencia during university. That’s when I fell in love with Spain — its culture, people, and language.

I’ve always had a great connection with children, and one of the most special experiences I’ve had was living with a host family in the U.S., where I built a wonderful bond with both the parents and the kids. We had so much fun together — we played, laughed, and really got along — and we even stayed in touch after I returned to Italy.

I’m really looking forward to meeting you and creating beautiful memories with your family. I’m excited to share my culture with you, learn about yours, and improve my Spanish along the way! I am also more than willing to speak to you and your children in English (which I have certified at a c2 level), if you wish to get better at it.
