Dear host family,

My name is Nastya. I'm 27 years old. I would like to become an Au Pair. There are several reasons why I would like to do it.

Firstly, I’ve studied foreign languages (Linguistics and Intercultural communication) at a university. I speak fluent English. I am good at French (B2). I also know the basics of Finnish (A2). And I would like to participate in a kind of cultural exchange (thanks to the Au Pair program). I am sure this unique experience will enrich me and help me in the future. It is a great chance to learn something new. The Au Pair program is a great opportunity to get acquainted with European culture and family values, practice foreign languages (with native speakers), and make new friends. I also love Russian culture. And I will be glad to tell my family about it.

Secondly, I’ve worked as a teacher (for over three years) at a university gymnasium. I have taught three groups of students (over 60 people in total). The students are boys and girls. The age of the learners varies from 11 to 16. I’ve planned, prepared and delivered effective lessons to the students of different ages (from 11 to 16). I’ve assessed the students’ progress, I’ve built trusting relationships with students and their parents. I’ve also cooperated with colleagues, teaching staff and administrators to foster good student experience. My lessons have been engaging and effective. I’ve tried to create the atmosphere of trust in the classroom and motivate children to study, incorporating learning habits into students’ daily routine.

At the same time, I’ve been an English tutor for 5 years. I’ve helped students of different ages (from 3 to 50 years old) to learn English.

When I was younger, I worked in child care centers where I took care of kids and taught them the basics of English in a playful way.

I believe that the teaching profession is valuable. A good teacher makes a meaningful difference in the world. It is nice to share my accumulated experience with kids. At the same time, their energy and optimism inspire me. I get on well with children. I like working with them and seeing the sparkle in their eyes.
I am hardworking and patient. I know that the educational process takes a lot of energy. And I accept the fact. I am also ready to overcome some challenges that come my way. I always create a positive atmosphere while working with children. I am attentive to their needs as well.
On the whole, I am a smart and literate person who reads a lot of books and constantly learns new things. I believe I’ll be a good companion for your children.
I am easily adapted to various changes. I enjoy getting to know new cultures. When I was a student, I was a tutor for many foreign students in my hometown. I helped them to solve some practical problems. I also hope to help your family as much as I can. At the same time, I would also like to explore a new country and improve my language skills. Sport is also an important part of my life. I am fond of sports activities. Maybe, we could share them together.
