Lettera alla Famiglia
Dear families,
My name is Luisa, I am 21 years old and was born and raised in Lower Saxony, Germany. I have both German and Romanian roots. In 2023, I obtained my German high school diploma (Abitur) from “Integrierte Gesamtschule Buchholz i.d.N.”
Since graduating I have had the strong desire to live and work in abroud for a while—both to connect with and to properly learn Languags and imerse myself into new cultures. I am eager to spend around six months abroad, starting as soon as possible, and I am open to any opportunity that aligns with my skills and interests.
Why I would love to be an Au Pair/Nanny:
Growing up with younger siblings, I have been able getting an insight in taking care of children. Additionally, I gained experience as a group leader for children aged four to eleven in a church setting, where I learned how important it is to listen to and support children. I strongly believe that their concerns and needs should never be overlooked in the business of daily life.
Being an au pair would allow me to contribute to a family’s daily routine while also developing my language skills and gaining valuable life experience. I would love to support your child(ren)’s development, provide a warm and nurturing presence, and assist with household tasks as needed.
A Little More About Me:
I have always been passionate about the performing arts, especially dancing and singing. I also have a strong interest in social issues and enjoy helping others. After finishing school, I volunteered for a charity assisting people with physical disabilities, where I helped with daily tasks and gained experience in household and garden work. This experience taught me the importance of inclusion and supporting people in their independence.
Language learning is another passion of mine. I speak English at a B2- C1 level, French at an A2 level, and I am currently learning Romanian, which I hope to improve significantly during my stay.
In my free time, I enjoy singing, dancing, listening to music, working out, and cooking. I have developed knowledge about healthy eating and lifestyle choices due to personal food intolerances.
My Personal Values:
Empathy is one of my strongest qualities—I naturally recognize where help is needed and aim to support those around me. I strive to see things from different perspectives and deeply care about justice, inclusion, and spreading kindness. My Christian background has shaped these values, and I believe in treating all people with love and acceptance.
On top of that I would describe myself as a really cosmopolitan and liberal minded person
Since I can remember I had a strong interest in other cultures and have always seen the beauty and strentgh in us people from whatever places on earth being unique and I am a big supporter of the mindset that we should celebrate our differences while finding similarities.
This year abroad is an opportunity for me to further explore my strengths, interests, and career path. I am excited about the possibility of joining your family, sharing meaningful experiences, and making a positive impact in your child(ren)’s life.
If you believe I could be a good fit for your family, I would be delighted to discuss further details. Thank you for your time, openness, and consideration.
Best regards,
Luisa
