Dear host family,
I would like to thank you in advance for your time on reading my letter. This letter will be containing about me, my motivations and my experience in childcare.
I am Louisianna and I am 22 years old. I am originally from Madagascar but studying in Indonesia for about 3 years now. I speak fluently French, English, Indonesian and basic German. I come from a very large family with dad, mom, 5 brothers, 2 sisters, 3 nieces and one nephew. My dad works as shopkeeper and my mom as housewife. I am a person who is very interested in culture, language, children and experience. I came in Indonesia for cultural exchange and then continue my study in International Relations since I would like to work in UNICEF Organization. For my personality, I would describe myself as responsible, cheerful, and open minded. I have a lot of hobbies such as dancing, reading, singing, cooking and go for a walk.
Being an au pair is an experience that I've always wanted and it's already on my plan. My principal motivation to be an au pair is to have more experience with kids and allows me to gain a second family and be a big sister for the kids. And also it is a pleasure for me to know more about your country: the culture, the language and the people... Besides, it will be an opportunity for me to share and introduce our culture, food, language to my host family.
For my experience with kids,
*since I was still in Madagascar, I like being with kids and spend time to play with them. In 2008 my sister gave a birth to a little beautiful girl named Fabiola. Since then, I already helped her in so many tasks to take care the daughter such as showering, changing clothes, feeding... I was studying in the capital of Madagascar while we are from another province named Tamatave (distance of 359 km). Since Fabiola's parents are so busy with work so they decided to let their daughter living with me in the capital from 2016 until I left my country to Indonesia in 2018. During those 3 years I was taking care of her everyday include: waking her up, showering her, prepare her food, feeding her, take her to school, wash her clothes and play with her. During our free time, we like doing activities such as playing society game like UNO, puzzle, painting, riding a bike. I enjoyed the experience by being and au pair.
*plus, for about 3 years , from 2015 to 2018 I was a responsible in a scouting in my church so I took care of a group of kids aged 3 to 7 years old. We had a lot of activities together such as learn new skills, playing purposeful game games and so on. When it comes to go out for 2 or 3 days outdoor activities, as they are still kids, we usually take a nature walk so the kids can discover the place and the environment, build toys and some spotting game. The goal is to teach the kids to be social.
* When I was still in my country, in the end of 2017 I spend 3 months in the nursery to bring help to kids aged 2 to 3 years old. It seems short but I learnt many things and I really enjoyed it. The activities are: painting, trace letters together, do puzzles, matching shapes and start learning colors and alphabets.
*my current activities is to take care of the 4yeas old of the cleaning lady where I am living while she is busy. She comes twice a week for 2 hours so usually, she asks me to take care of the baby while she is busy.
I am motivated to be an au pair and I will do my best to satisfy your family especially the kids. I hope that my profile interests you as your future au pair.
