Letter to the family

Dear Host Family,
Who I Am
My name is Jada, I’m 27 years old, and I currently live in Alabama, in the southeastern United States. I come from a close-knit family with two older half-sisters and three nieces, so I’ve always been surrounded by children. I’m responsible, kind, adaptable, and naturally nurturing — traits that make me feel very at home when caring for kids. I currently work and plan to return to school in the future to study nursing.
Why I Want to Become an Au Pair & Nanny
Becoming an au pair is more than just traveling for me — it’s about cultural exchange, building genuine relationships, and stepping into a new way of life with a family who welcomes me as one of their own. I love caring for children and being a positive role model in their lives. I'm also passionate about learning languages and exploring new cultures. Living abroad as an au pair gives me the opportunity to grow personally while making a meaningful impact in a family’s daily life.
Why You Should Host Me
I am reliable, respectful, patient, and full of positive energy. I take the role of caring for children seriously, and I know how important trust and consistency are for families. I’m flexible with schedules, I enjoy cooking (especially trying new dishes), and I’m comfortable helping with homework, school runs, light housework, and creating a calm and joyful environment for children. I’m also dog-friendly and have a valid driver’s license. I want to fully take part in your family’s life, while also bringing my own culture, language, and warmth into your home.
Why I Qualify for the Position
I’ve had years of experience caring for children of all ages, from toddlers to teenagers — both in my own family and in my community. I’m very adaptable and quick to learn new routines. I’m a native English speaker, which can help support your child’s language learning if that's something you're looking for. I’m also organized, punctual, and deeply committed to being dependable. Whether it's helping with schoolwork, playing imaginative games, or just being a calm presence after a long day, I’m ready to give your family my full support.
I’d be truly honored to become part of your family and look forward to learning and growing together.

Experience

I have several years of informal childcare experience, primarily through helping raise my nieces and caring for children in my community. I’ve taken on many of the day-to-day responsibilities that come with being around young children — from preparing meals and helping with homework to bedtime routines, school drop-offs, and keeping them entertained with fun and creative activities. These experiences have taught me to be patient, responsible, and adaptable — all qualities that are essential in both nanny and au pair roles.
Although I haven’t yet worked as an au pair abroad, I’m very eager to take on this new experience. Living abroad as an au pair would allow me to combine my love for children with my interest in learning about new cultures and languages. I see this as more than a job — it's an opportunity to form meaningful relationships, contribute positively to a family’s life, and grow personally and professionally.
Being immersed in a new country while supporting a family and helping children grow feels like the perfect fit for me. I’m especially excited about sharing my language and culture, while also embracing yours.
