Karina (24 / Ms. ), Kazakh, Project Manager living in Kazakhstan looking for Au Pair job in USA for 12-24 Months

My name is Karina. I’m 24 and I’m from Kazakhstan.

I love children, they are so cute:) To be an au pair for me is a good opportunity to get an international childcare experience, know more about American culture & traditions and communicate with the new interesting people.

Actually, I really like to spend time with children because it always brings a lot of positive emotions. I’ve had about 1500 hours of childcare. I worked as a summer camp counselor in 2019. It wasn’t easy but I got vast experience in communicating with children. The age of my campers group was 6-9 years. We swimmed, danced, walked in the forest, and came up with new games all the time. Also I’m good at math, that’s why I started teaching math for children from 5 to 10 years in August 2021. I have been teaching for 2 years. However it is just my hobby because I work there only on Saturdays and Sundays.

Likewise, I have a younger sister. She is 13. When I am at home, we are engaged in common activities such drawing, dancing, cooking food, walking, etc. I really love her very much. When she was born, my mom was teaching me to put on and change diapers, prepare and provide a bottle; I took her to kindergarten and school. At the age of 5 the doctors discovered she had cancer and cut out one of her eyes. It was a difficult time for our family. One day when we were at home together, her eyeball implant fell out; I had to work up a lot of courage and stick it in place. It was a really stressful day for me and I was able to deal with it. Currently she is healthy and has learned to cope with it on her own. So I have truly extensive experience with childcare.

What is more, I am a very responsible, thoughtful, friendly and active person. At school time I had been dancing folk and pop dances during 9 years and successfully finished the course “Basics of choreographic art” at the age of 18. Besides dancing I am fond of swimming, skating, rollerblading and cycling. I have a driver's license, so driving a car is not a problem for me. Also I am an ice cream fan and can eat it every day. I hope my host family and I will have dinner together, play board games, celebrate holidays and travel.

At the end of my letter, I’d like to say that I’ll try to become a careful host-elder sister for your kid(-s). I understand that caring for children is not easy but I have enough experience, and I believe children will be comfortable with me.
