Hi there!

I'm Laura! I'm 21 years old, from New Zealand, and passionate about people, music, art, and sport. I've been working full-time with youth for the last 2 years as a Music & Events Coordinator for a local youth centre with 5,500 members (which I have loved) while also releasing my own music on the side.

I'm a confident, adaptable and creative individual. I love working with people, trying new things and being in the outdoors. I've been very involved in my local community ever since I was a young teenager. Out of those experiences, I realised I love working with kids and teenagers, whether it was leading at summer camps, babysitting, afterschool care or youth work, it all just happened pretty organically and naturally.

I have done multiple first aid courses and am strong at communicating.

Experience

When I was young, my parents took us kids travelling for 4 years- I think it's where I get my adventurous spirit from. The things you learn about yourself, and others when you live in another country are so incredibly special so I'm really keen to experience this again, but this time as a young adult. I am looking to work and travel overseas for a while before I begin full-time study. While I haven't been an Au Pair or international tutor before, I do think I have the skills required.
