Letter to the family

First of all: I'm Lani, I'm 18 years old, but I'm turning 19 soon and I'm graduating from school in July. Since I don't want to study right away, I decided to become an au pair. On the one hand, I am very child-friendly and enjoy working with children. I already work as a nanny for a total of four children between the ages of 2 and 5 and have three little sisters. On the other hand, I love Spain and am always fascinated by the people and the language.

Over the course of the year I was able to see how the children developed further, sometimes learned to speak, learned to ride a bike and I became a part of their everyday life. I notice how happy they are when I'm there and that makes me endlessly happy. I would be happy to be able to continue experiencing this, just in a new chapter of mine.

Experience

Apart from the fact that I do a lot with my younger sisters and used to babysit a lot, I currently work as a nanny for two families. I do a lot of painting, puzzles and dressing up with my family's 2 and 4 year old children. While the 3- and 5-year-old children in the other family are a little more active. We often ride our bikes, go swimming and in the summer eat ice cream or have a little fun. I am diverse. A few years ago I also did an internship at a daycare center. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to do a year abroad during school, so I would now like to realize my dream of living in another country and getting to know new customs.
