Almost all of my cousins are a lot younger than me, so I have always had to play with them, feed them, bath them and look after them. I have always been able to connect with children and earn their trust and respect very quickly. I love volunteering at the daycare center for needy children and just making them laugh and feel special. I do this at least once a month. I also frequently volunteer at a centre for children with disabilities, these visits are always very special and moving to me, I always leave the centre having learnt something new. I babysit two very special girls regularly, mostly over weekends which require me to take care of them for more than two nights. I have formed a special bond and friendship with them and they teach me something new every day. I have a real passion for children. I have always been able to connect with them and earn their trust. I want to develop my abilities and skills and gain even more experience with children.
After a year of aupairing, I want to apply for university and study a degree, involving children, but I am not sure what degree yet. I believe a year of au-pairing will help me make a decision. Aupairing is an amazing opportunity for me and I know I would excel in it. I'm looking forward to exploring new places, learning a new language and not only getting to know new people and kids, but also getting to know myself better. When I was fifteen years old, my oldest friend, Kim and I, travelled to Europe by ourselves and stayed with her family for three weeks. This trip kickstarted my love for European countries such as the Netherlands and the UK and it's people, the food, the heritage and the languages.
