Letter to the family
Hello! I hope you are doing well. My name is Natalia, I am a 24-year-old and i am Colombian. I graduated from La Salle University, where I studied languages, majoring in English, Spanish, and French. Since 2022, I've been engaged as an English teacher, specializing in teaching children within my home country.
I live in Bogotá, where I share my home with my mother, her name is Luz. She is finishing her degree in accounting and is working at the Ministry of Technologies and Communications. I also live with my aunt and my brother. My aunt works as an academic secretary at a local school. My brother, on the other hand, is studying visual design. Although I do not live with my father, he has always been present in my life. He is an entrepreneur and administrator, working near downtown selling clothes, video games, and Crocs. Additionally, I frequently visit my grandmothers. My grandmother Carmenza, in Fusagasugá, a town close to the capital. Also, I often try to visit my other grandmother, Myriam, who lives in another town called Villa de Leyva, about 4 hours from Bogotá.
I have different activities and hobbies that I enjoy to practice in my free time. For example, on weekends, I often go to church, and when it finish, i try to spend time with my family and friends going out to eat . Also, During vacations, I like to visit the countryside and ride horses or go to the river to swim. Another activity that I enjoyed last year was being part of a Christian theater group, where I found fulfillment in sharing a different message and exploring my acting abilities. Currently, a hobby that I have discovered is crocheting amigurumi, I started watching videos and taking some courses to learn how to crate new figures, also, i am learning to dance in a group two hours per week.
At present, I am working as an English teacher at a bilingual school, called renfort, in Bogotá, where I continue to teaching english for my dear students from pre-K to 5th grade on their educational journey. As an inclusive and personalized teacher, I am committed to implementing innovative teaching strategies that enhance the learning of each child, ensuring their emotional well-being and significant learning.
As a teacher, I have learned how to show empathy, commitment, and to continually grow. i have improve my qualities of responsibility, patience, and creativity. These serve as pillars of support in my interactions with students, fostering a nurturing learning environment where every child feels valued and inspired to reach their full potential.
For these reasons, I believe I would make a great Au Pair because I possess qualities such as responsibility, patience, and creativity. Moreover, I have considerable experience working with children, which has equipped me with the skills necessary to take care of them effectively. I assure you that I will prioritize their safety while ensuring they have an enjoyable time under my supervision.
