Letter to the family

My name is Maria Victoria and I'm 19 years old. I was born in Venezuela, but hold also Colombian nationality and Argentine permanent residence. I want to be an au pair/tutor because I want to travel and get to know another culture deeply before I start university. I chose to be an au pair because I love children, I have been taking care of children for many years now as a nanny for friends and family, and I have grown to believe educating and loving children is among the best things anyone can do. I have also experience as a tutor, teaching languages.
I'm a organized, respectful and considerate person. I love helping and communicating in a meaningful way. For me, what's most important is that my host family feels comfortable and that we all share a bond and trust. I think I qualify because of my previous experience with children, because of my aptitude for languages and also for cooking (I love trying new recipes I find online) I qualify for the position because I care, I take my responsibilities very seriously and I want to make this experience incredible for everyone.

Experience

I have worked with children before. As a nanny, I took care of children from my family or family friends. As a tutor, I worked both as a volunteer English teacher and as a paid tutor in both English and French. I want to be an au pair/tutor/live in help abroad because I love travelling, I love getting to know another culture, but I also want to do it doing something I enjoy, that's working with children. I have travelled to the US and Canada before and I loved the experience, observing another way of life, so that's something I would like to repeat.
