Hi there! I'm Chiara, a 22-year-old originally from Sydney, Australia, now living in Melbourne. I have a Diploma in Counselling and am currently studying for a Certificate IV in Youth Work. This coursework equips me with valuable skills in engaging with young people, focusing on their development and well-being. I'm passionate about supporting and empowering youth, and I believe my education will make me a great addition to your family, particularly in providing care and guidance for your children.

My passions have always centered around youth welfare, and I am eager for the chance to stay in my beautiful homeland and experience a different lifestyle. With European roots - Greek from my mother's side and Italian from my father's - I've started learning Greek after visiting Greece with my mother earlier this year, where I had to rely on her to translate. Inspired by my beautiful, rich Greek heritage, and the passing of my Yiayia in 2019, I'm not only offering childcare assistance but also a genuine interest in immersing myself in Greek culture. By helping with household chores, English practice with your children, and engaging activities, I believe I will contribute to your family's well-being and create a meaningful cultural exchange for both of us.

I lack direct childcare experience, however my study within my Diploma of Counselling and ongoing studies in Youth Work equip me with a strong foundation in understanding child welfare and positive development. Living in a sharehouse, I'm accustomed to shared responsibilities and prioritise maintaining a tidy living environment. I am courageous and brave therefore I am excited for the prospect of living in a place that is entirely different from the one I am used to. I moved to Melbourne at the age of 20, away from friends and family, moving in with people I only met the day that I moved in. I have found my feet in a new city and have been able to adapt incredibly to the opportunities given to me.
