Hi, I’m Hollie, and i’m from South England! I’m taking a gap year between college and university. I always knew that I would want to take a gap year between educational years, and always thought travelling would be perfect for me, and have tried it out, and it was. So, being away from home and learning the ways of different cultures, families, and people around the world has been a dream, and so eye-opening. I’ve also always known that I would eventually go into childcare, it’s always been a dream to become a teacher, and have done numerous work experiences as a childcare assistant alongside my education in the past. I didn’t learn about Au Pair work until recently, but since finding out about it, I have learned that it is a beautiful role, and a great way to gain experience in childcare, while still learning about the way people work around the world. I completely agree with the idea of completely immersing yourself in someone’s way of life when abroad, so I would be completely respectful while being hosted, and more than willing to adjust to the way you work.
