Letter to the family

Hi! My name is Emma, I’m 22 years old and I’m from Italy.
As for me, I’m a cheerful, friendly, and responsible person who truly enjoys spending time with children. I love being playful and creative, and I always do my best to make sure the kids I care for feel safe, happy, and supported.
One of my biggest dreams has always been to travel and learn about different cultures, and being an au pair is the perfect way to do that, especially because I genuinely love working with children. I’d love to be part of a family where I can help out, share my culture, and create great memories together.
I’m currently an au pair in Northern Ireland, looking after two little ones, one is 2 years old and the other is 7 months. My contract finishes in July, so I’m looking for my next host family after that. I started looking after kids when I was 17, mainly my younger cousins during the summer holidays. We used to spend the days playing in the garden, baking, drawing, going to the park and just having fun together.
I always try to be respectful of the family’s routines and values, and I do my best to adapt so that everyone feels comfortable and things run smoothly.
In my free time, I love reading, writing, going on walks, visiting museums, going to concerts, and learning about history and art. And of course, I love to travel and discover new places and cultures!

Experience

I was around 17 when I started taking care of my youngest cousins, as both my parents and theirs had to work during the summer. We played in the garden with water balloons or enjoyed games like hide-and-seek. Sometimes, we went to the playground, played "hairdresser" and "make-up artist," or entertained ourselves with dolls. In addition to this, I also worked as a teacher at an English summer camp, where I was responsible for a group of ten kids aged 5 to 7.
Now, I am an au pair in Northern Ireland and I'm taking care of two sweet children. The older one is 2 and the younger one is 7 months old. Let me know if you need references from the parents!
