Dear Host Family,
My name is Maddalena, I’m 22 years old and I come from Genoa, a seaside city in northern Italy. I have recently graduated in Communication Science at the University of Genoa, and I am now looking forward to starting a new chapter of my life as an au pair abroad.
I have always been an active, curious and independent person, and the idea of living with a host family in a different country is something that truly excites me. I love to discover new cultures and ways of life, and I believe that the au pair experience is the most authentic way to do so. At the same time, I’m eager to improve my English and become more fluent by living in a real, everyday environment.
I have several years of experience as a babysitter and tutor for children aged 10 and above, and I truly enjoy spending time with kids – helping them with homework, playing, being a supportive presence in their daily routine. I am also a very responsible and reliable person, used to managing my time independently and taking care of others.
In my free time, I love practicing sports – I’ve been doing CrossFit at a competitive level and yoga for years, which have taught me discipline, focus and balance. I also love to cook, travel, and spend time outdoors. Working for several years in my family’s restaurant as a waitress and assistant in the kitchen has helped me develop good communication skills and a strong sense of teamwork.
As an au pair, I would bring energy, kindness and a lot of enthusiasm. I would be happy to help with daily routines, support the children, and share my culture with you, while also embracing yours with openness and respect.
