My name is Shawna, I’m 20 years old, and I come from Hannover, Germany. This June, I will complete my high school education (Abitur), and I’m excited to start a new chapter by gaining international experience as an Au Pair. Although I was born and raised in Germany, my roots are multicultural—my mother is from Jamaica and my father is from Ghana—which has shaped me into a warm-hearted, open-minded person who truly values different cultures and perspectives.

Becoming an Au Pair is a dream of mine because I genuinely love working with children and being part of a family’s everyday life. I see this as a beautiful opportunity for cultural exchange—not only for me, but also for your children. I’ve gained experience through a two-week internship at a daycare (Kita), where I supported the educators, cared for children, and helped organize play and learning activities. I’ve also looked after many younger children in my extended family and among family friends, which has taught me patience, flexibility, and attentiveness to children’s needs.
