Letter to the family
Hello dear host family!
My name is Sarita, I’m from Colombia and I’m very excited about the opportunity to become part of your family as an au pair. I consider myself a caring, responsible and joyful person who enjoys spending time with children, learning new things every day, and sharing my culture while also discovering yours.
I have two little nieces whom I love deeply and take care of most of the time. The oldest is 3 years old and the youngest is 1 year old. Taking care of them has given me a lot of experience, patience and creativity when it comes to spending quality time with children. You can see them in my profile!
I would love to support you in daily routines, take care of your children with love and patience, and create a safe and fun environment for them. Becoming an au pair is not only about helping with tasks, but also about building meaningful connections, and I look forward to that experience with you.
Why do I want to be an au pair?
I want to be an au pair because I truly enjoy spending time with children and helping them grow in a safe, loving, and fun environment. For me, being an au pair is also a wonderful opportunity to learn about a new culture, improve my language skills, and share my own traditions with your family.
Why should the host family choose me?
You should host me because I am caring, patient, and responsible. I have real experience taking care of children, especially thanks to my two little nieces (3 and 1 years old) whom I love deeply and care for most of the time. This has taught me how to handle daily routines, be creative in play, and respond with patience and love in different situations.
Why do I qualify for the position?
I qualify for the au pair position because I am dedicated, reliable, and enthusiastic about being part of a family’s daily life. I am ready to support you with childcare, help in household tasks when needed, and bring a positive and joyful energy into your home. My previous experience with children and my willingness to adapt and learn make me a strong candidate for this role.
Additional plans
In the near future, I plan to get my driver’s license as soon as I know I will be hired as an au pair. Along with that, I would also like to take a first aid course to be even more prepared when caring for children. I might also try swimming lessons, even though I must admit I am a little afraid of the water — but I believe learning new skills is always valuable.
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. I hope to meet you soon!
Warm regards,
Sarita
