Letter to the family

Dear Host Family,

My name is Attenya, I’m 18 years old and I come from Tenerife, in the Canary Islands (Spain). I recently finished high school and I’m very excited about the idea of starting a new adventure abroad as an au pair.

I don’t have formal work experience in childcare, but I’ve been taking care of children for many years. I’m the oldest of three siblings, so I started helping with kids at a very young age. I also regularly take care of children from family friends, and they even hire me to babysit. These experiences have taught me to be responsible, caring, patient, and fun.

I truly enjoy spending time with children, playing, taking care of them, helping with meals, homework, or simply being there for them. I’m an active person, I love sports, cooking, reading, and I’m always ready to try something new.

My level of English is B1, and I’m comfortable speaking and understanding it. I’m always looking to improve and I’m sure that living with an English-speaking family would help me grow a lot, both personally and linguistically.

Becoming an au pair is a dream I’ve had for a long time. I’d love to join your family, share my culture, help with your children, and learn from you as well. Thank you so much for reading my letter, I hope to hear from you soon!
