Letter to the family

My name is Zoe and I’m 22 years old. I am from Ireland and I am about to complete my studies in university as a secondary school language teacher - Irish and Spanish. I am friendly and outgoing, and I work very well with children. I am clean and can cook, and I also have a driving license.

I qualify for this position due to my years of experience working with children and my language teaching degree. I believe I can contribute greatly to the education of your children, through sports, art or English language practice.

Experience

I have spent over 200 hours working in secondary schools, teaching students between 12 and 18 years of age. I also have spent the past 4 summers working in an outdoor activity centre teaching sailing, rock climbing and windsurfing to children between 5 and 18 years.

I would like to be an au pair as I really enjoy working with children and although I have reached the minimum requirement to teach Spanish in Ireland, I want to improve my confidence in the language and maybe achieve a C1 level of Spanish. I spent 4 months living in Galicia for my Erasmus period of university and I loved it! I miss living in Spain and would like to come back to enjoy the nice weather, great people and amazing food :)
