Letter to the family

Hello! I am Jamie Burgos from El Salvador. I am 27-years-old and I live in Madrid since September 2018. I came to Europe to pursue my Master studies in Marketing.

I describe myself as a dreamer in progress, who always wants to learn new things, acquire different experiences and loves to spend time with quality people.

I’m a very familiar and confident person. Being the youngest one of 4 sisters has given me the opportunity to learn the importance of sharing, respecting, and collaborating. My parents passed away when I was 15 years-old, but the values and skills they taught me have and will remain forever. Those values and skills have helped me to overcome difficult situations in my life, and made me a person who always tries to give it's best. I am constantly looking the positive side of any scenario and sharing happiness and love to the people around me.

I have a special love for children and always feel a special connection with them, their sincere and natural way to be, reminds me that we have lot of reasons to smile in life, but sometimes during our daily routine is difficult to remember them.

Since some years ago, I have been interested in having an Au Pair Experience, but for different reasons I never applied to the program before. Nevertheless, now that I just finished my internship program in Spain, is the perfect time to finally get this experience I have always wanted to have! I believe is an experience that will help me to grow in a personal way, it will allow me to know a new family and also will help me to improve my English skills while experiencing life in a different country in Europe.

I have experience in homework clubs, with 7-year-old kids, I also use to baby-sit my nephew Andres and my niece Pamela, when they were little. On march 2020, I traveled to Mexico to meet and take care of my newborn niece Ana Lucia for a month. At the same time, reading, running, playing board games and specially volleyball are activities I enjoy, and love to do on a with my friends and my nieces and nephews.

Planning, organizing and being proactive are the skills that have always allowed me to develop my projects with success. I’m convinced that my skills, passion and love for children will make the au pair experience a very valuable and joyful time for me and your family.

I hope my experiences and qualifications matches with what you are looking for an Au Pair.

I would like to thank you in advance for considering my profile, and if you have any question or would like to have Skype call, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Sincerely,

Jamie Burgos

Experience

My experience with take car children has been in a formal and informal way,

When I was 18 years old I decided to get my first job, I discovered MVP club in El Salvador, is similar to a kindergarten, where children go during the afternoon to learn some extra-curricular activities as Karate, Painting, Handicraft classes and Homework club. I worked as a personal assistant in homework clubs, with 7-year-old boys, and I was responsible to guarantee, that they complete all their homework and practice their English Skills.

In an informal way, I used to spend lot of time with my nephew Andres and my niece Pamela when they were kids, help them with their responsibilities at school, because sometimes their parents were very busy, so I offered them my help in my free time.

Last march I traveled to Mexico to meet and take care my newborn niece Ana Lucia for a month, and was one of the best experience I never had had before. She is the first daughter of my older sister and I really feel a very special connection with that beautiful baby, Analú.
