Letter to the family

Hello future host family!

*I am currently looking for a family for the months of summer as I have to return to university*

My name is Ana, I’m 24 years old and I live in Malaga, south of Spain, with my mother (Ana) and my brother (David).

I hope to find a family that I can help waking up the kids, preparing them for school, taking them to school, prepare their meals, help them with the homework, play with them.. all this organising productive weeks with a planner.

I really like working with childrens because thanks to them I’ve improved as a person
developing qualities such as patience or understanding, I love the exchange of knowledge and really amaze me how much we can learn from them.

I am single and I have driving license, I don't smoke either drink alcohol and I don't follow any special diet.

I am looking for a family in France and I would be so grateful to be part of the family, help you and learn your habits!

I’ll do my best to make the day a day of the kids much easier and fun.

Thanks for being interested in my profile,

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Ana

Experience

Update 30/05
*Now that we have this quarantine situation in the mornings I help Patri with her school home work and i take some time to study french, in the afternoons we always have new things to do; we play UNO, we draw a lot, we do lettering, sometimes we cook or we do smoothies because we like to play and imagine that we have a “pick nick” at home and just sometimes we go to the beach for a quick walk*

Since the beginning of the school year I have been taking care of my neighbor Patricia, she is 11 years old. I take her to school at 8 am and pick her up at 2 pm. In the afternoons we do her homework and when she finish we always play and create new games, we play with the 100 nail polish that she has, we draw and she likes to create mandalas. She also plays piano so she has to practice at home too. Then we get ready to dinner and go to bed.
Due to work I can’t take care of her everyday so when I’m free I’m with her.

I have worked in two churches and a nursery as a volunteer. In the nursery I took care of childrens between 6 months and 3 years old during their summer holidays. I was in charge of preparing them for breakfast, organice them in their classes, (activities like teach colors, numbers, paint, etc) canteen, nap after lunch and prepare them to return with their parents. With the babies I had to change diapers, prepare bottles, feed them, change their clothes, put them to sleep, sickness care and occasionally bathing.

When I worked in the church, it was located in a marginal area of the city so I had to take care of children with many problems at home which helped me gain a lot of patience and understand and correct some of their behaviors always with supervision and help of our teachers. The church provided them of breakfast, lunch and snack so I had to help them to eat and teach them how to eat properly. We used to organice summer activities and excursions. The age of the kids were between 5 and 14 years old.
Also this summer I’ve been taking care of my neighbor’s daughter during the mornings (girl in the picture)
I never been Au Pair, this is my first time.

As a complementary information during this past 3 years I’ve been taking care of my grandmother (Alzheimer’s patient) who was also living with me and this helped me a lot of learning about patients with special needs, Alzheimer’s desease, control aggressive behaviors, even skin care and many other things that also could help me in taking care of children as her behavior was so similar to kids
